Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued an open challenge at the Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi to fight the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the name of former PM Rajiv Gandhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued an open challenge at Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi to fight 2019 Lok Sabha elections in name of former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Taking to Twitter, PM Modi shared a video from his rally in Jharkhand's Chaibasa wherein he launched a scathing attack at Congress party and Rahul Gandhi raising ir objection to his comments on former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
In an open challenge at Congress, PM Modi demanded Congress leers to contest elections in name of former PM Rajiv Gandhi in Delhi, Punjab and Bhopal, citing Bofors deal scam, 1984 anti-Sikh riots and Bhopal Gas Trdy.

"Few days ago, I h called out deeds of a member of 'naamdar' family. se people (Congress) have been abusing Prime Minister and his family. I only reminded about earlier Bofors scam. I only said that and a tsunami came. Some people cried really hard over what I said. When you did t here to limitations of post of Prime Minister, you abused post, I only said one thing - it stung you like a scorpion. more se people will cry, more people of this generation will become aware of ir truths. How a family looted and destroyed country in 20th century, youth of 21st century should kw," PM Modi said.
Issuing challenge at Congress and Rahul Gandhi to fight elections in Delhi, Punjab and Bhopal in name of former Rajiv Gandhi, PM Modi said:
"From this st, I challenge entire Congress party and 'naamdaar' family if y have guts to fight elections in name of former Prime Minister against whom re are accusations of Bofors scams in next two phases. Come on field and fight elections in his name and let's see how game is fought. Delhi's elections is still waiting, let's fight elections in Delhi and Punjab in name of former PM and on issues of his respect. Let's fight elections in name of former PM in Bhopal where gas trdy took thousands of lives. What PM did in Bhopal will come out in open. This is my challenge. If you have guts, come on crease. Don't try to run, this is a democracy. Fight elections on same nda - how was Prime Minister, what all he did. I challenge Congress party to accept my challenge."

PM Modi, taking a jibe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Uttar Presh’s Pratapgarh on Saturday, h said: “Your far was termed ‘Mr. Clean’ by his courtiers but his life ended as ‘bhrashtachari’ (corrupt) number 1.”
Responding to PM Modi's comments on his far, Rahul Gandhi h taken to Twitter and reminded Prime Minister of his "karma” with love and a huge hug.
