Tejashwi Yadav launched the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)'s election manifesto called "Pratibadhata Patra" (commitment manifesto) on Monday, which enlisted promises ranging from reservation based on population to a national action plan for job growth.

With three days left for the first phase of Lok Sabha election, Tejashwi Yadav launched the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)'s election manifesto called "Pratibadhata Patra" (commitment manifesto) on Monday, which enlisted promises ranging from reservation based on population to a national action plan for job growth.
While releasing the manifesto, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that the party promises reservation to Dalits and the backward classes on the basis of the proportion of their population, adding that promotions will be granted in government jobs based on reservation.

Later, Tejashwi Yadav highlighted that the gathbandhan has decided to make toddy(liquor) legal in the state, which the Nitish led-NDA government had made illegal. However, he said that this 'promise' has not been included in the manifesto.
The former Deputy CM of Bihar went on to assert that RJD will revise the criteria of selection in police forces in the state by even allowing classes 6th-7th passed candidates to apply.

He also said that the gathbandhan supports the NYAY minimum income guarantee scheme by the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress.

Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD is contesting the elections in Bihar in alliance with the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress, Jeetan Ram Manjhi led- HAM(S), and Upendra Kushwaha led-RLSP, VIP and others. Out of the 40 seats in the state, the party is contesting on 19 seats, Congress on nine, RLSP on five seats and Mukesh Sahni-led Vikasheel Insaan Party on three seats.
The Lok Sabha polls in Bihar are scheduled to take place in all seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The results will be declared on May 23.
