Modi 3.0 Ministers Get Calls Ahead Of Swearing-In: Chirag, Rajnath on List; 2 Ministers From TDP

As per sources, the BJP is likely to retain the crucial cabinet portfolios including Home, Finance, Defence, and Foreign Affairs along with Education & Culture

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has cracked plan to accommodate its allies in Modi 3.0 cabinet. Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi is all set to take oath on Sunday, June 9. This would be first time for Narendra Modi  that he ill be leing a coalition government.

In just-concluded Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party won 240 seats, way behind simple majorirt of 272 and is heed to form a coalition government with support of key NDA allies - Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party and Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal United. TDP and JDU have won 16 and 12 seats respctively in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which makes a total of 28, indispensible for BJP at moment.

As per sources, BJP is likely to retain crucial cabinet portfolios including Home, Finance, Defence, and Foreign Affairs along with Education and Culture. Among names making rounds from BJP- Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah. Leers like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gkari have alrey started getting calls regarding allocation of portfolios, said sources.

Son of TDP leer and former Union Minister Yerran Naidu, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, is likely to become youngest-ever Union Cabinet Minister. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, a doctor by profession and one of richest candidates in this election, is will also be sworn in as Union Minister of State today.  While Ram Mohan Naidu has been representing Srikakulam Lok Sabha constituency. Pemmasani has been elected from Guntur Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Presh.

Socialist leer and former Bihar CM Karpoori Thakur's son, Ramnath Thakur, is likely to be instilled in Modi 3.0 cabinet from JDU's quota. Along with Thakur, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh is also likely to take oath later this evening. While Ramnath Thakur is a Rajya Sabha MP, Lalan Singh has been elected from Munger constituency in Bihar

Apart from JDU and TDP, Shiv Sena-led by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Chirag Paswan's LJP (RamVilas) are likely to get one berth each. 

Hindustan Awami Morcha (secular) chief and Gaya MP, Jitan Ram Manjhi could also get a ministerial berth, said sources. Manjhi also met outgoing Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in national capital on Sunday. 

BJP is yet to make an official announcement over allocation of berths in Modi 3.0 cabinet. Some newly elected MPs, who are likely to be sworn-in as Union Ministers in third NDA government on Sunday, have been called for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence here at 11.30 am.
