Congress Cries Betrayal After Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s Surprise Ghar Wapsi to NDA

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's decision to join NDA alliance has left Congress party expressing deep disappointment. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh voiced his discontent, stating, "It is a matter of regret that he left our hands at last moment; this is a complete betrayal of trust, and people of Bihar will answer him soon for this betrayal."

Ramesh highlighted sequence of events, pointing out that Nitish Kumar h participated in multiple meetings with 18 parties present in Patna, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. chief minister did not provide any hint of breaking ties with India alliance during se discussions. Ramesh expressed his disappointment, calling it a betrayal of trust.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a Congress leer, ded his perspective, claiming that everyone except Congress anticipated Nitish Kumar's departure. Krishnam stated, "Congress did not even stop Scindia; Congress did not try to stop anyone." He underlined that Congress did not attempt to prevent key members from leaving party, creating a sense of frustration among party members.

In parallel development in Bihar, JDU national president called a meeting of all his MPs in Patna around 11:00 am today. purpose of meeting IS to discuss changed political circumstances before commencement of budget session of Parliament. This move comes as first action following formation of NDA-JDU government in Bihar.

Simultaneously, a notice has been given to secretary of Legislative Assembly for a no-confidence motion against Assembly Speaker Avh Bihari Chaudhary. According to reports, move initiated by NDA leers is to remove speaker from post. However, Chaudhary, refusing to resign, is preparing to face challenge with backing of majority.

NDA alliance, with 128 MLAs, holds a numerical vantage over opposition, which has 115 MLAs. As political landscape in Bihar undergoes a seismic shift, repercussions of Nitish Kumar's decision are expected to unfold in coming days.
