With countdown to all-important 2019 Lok Sabha polls on, and with critical assembly elections in five states due in next few weeks, vember may just be most important month in terms of deciding who will come up trumps in general elections. In this light, Republic TV and CVoter are presenting latest National Approval Ratings, which gives a complete and realistic snapshot of prevailing country-wide electoral scenario.

In October's edition, final tally of Republic-CVoter National Approval Ratings h shown NDA retaining a majority, while UPA h progressed beyond 100-mark. Or parties, meanwhile, which may lean one way or or, pooled toger a combined 155 seats. Since n, a lot has happened, even as recently as Wednesday, when Modi government secured a massive victory amid politics and fearmongering that has been done over state of nation's ecomy, with India securing its highest-ever ranking on World Bank's Ease of Doing Business by jumping 23 positions to Rank 77 globally. 

Meanwhile, even as Prime Minister dedicated world's tallest statue -- Statue of Unity -- to nation on 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and a few days before that, commemorated Subhash Chandra Bose and 75th anniversary of Az Hind Government, a massive war of words was triggered over appropriation of freedom icons. At same time, Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor have continued to play religion card, though from different sides, as while Congress president has continued where he left off at Gujarat and Karnataka elections by claiming he has a better understanding of Hindutva than BJP and RSS, Tharoor has polarised in or direction, with BJP furious with his remarks on 'good Hindu-b Hindu' vis-a-vis Ayodhya Ram Mandir dispute and his unsourced 'Chappal-Shivling-Scorpion' analogy attack at Prime Minister.

ditionally, and significantly, Supreme Court has delayed its hearings in Ayodhya dispute, and will only decide in January when hearings will take place. This has caused many among pro-Mandir bent-of-mind, including RSS, VHP and Hindu Mahasabha, to push government to do whatever it can to build Ram Mandir, with an ordinance on matter most frequently stated solution. On Thursday, RSS ideologue and Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha has intimated that he will be bringing a private members bill in Parliament seeking to build Ram Mandir. or side in this debate argues that Constitution is supreme and that apex court's verdict must be awaited, though Congress is kwn to have held ar view as well -- that Supreme Court's verdict should only come after 2019 elections. A controversy on similar lines was also witnessed in Kerala in October following Supreme Court's verdict allowing women d 10-50 to enter Sabarimala Temple for first time.

Finally, last month has seen heated polemics over events at CBI, with government acting on CVC's recommendation to send two top-most officers at India's premier investigative ncy -- Rakesh Asthana and Alok Verma -- on leave after y h both accused or of corruption, with Opposition jumping in to insert a Rafale angle and accusing government of taking over institutions, and government countering, stating that it acted in order to maintain CBI's institutional integrity.
