Bollywood actor Amit Sadh is set to join the cast of Vidya Balan starrer Shakuntala Devi. Read to know more about the character Amit Sadh is set to portray.

Anu Menon's film Shakuntala Devi starring Vidya Balan created a buss ever since its announcement was made publicly. The film follows the life of a mathematics genius who was also known as the 'human computer'.Shakuntala Devi who had the ability to make swift calculations incredibly. Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra will be playing the role of Shakuntala Devi's daughter, Anupama in the film. With the shooting for the film has begun already, there is an addition to the cast. Amit Sadh has been introduced to the film casts and will be playing the role of Anupama's husband, Shakuntala Devi's son-in-law.

Amit Sadh had played some key roles in the films like Kai Po Che, Sultan and Gold. The news has been confirmed by the actor and according to the reports it is said that when the actor read the script he got to know a lot about the legend Shakuntala Devi. He also added that he is very excited to join the cast featuring a powerhouse talent like Vidya Balan and Sanya Malhotra. Amit Sadh is also looking forward to bring Ajay's character (Anupama's husband) alive on the big screen.

The Kai Po Che actor further spoke about his collaboration with director Anu Menon. He said that they have been working together for the last couple of weeks and he respects her craft and precision. He said that her way of directing and storytelling has been enhancing his performance every day. Amit Sadh also believes that it is his director Anu Menon who helped him in understanding Ajay's character and the narrative context to the overall story in a very engaging manner.

On the other hand, director Anu Menon said that Amit has a credible and charismatic presence in the film and that his character perfectly foils the two women, Shakuntala Devi and Anupama. He is also known to compliment the crafts Vidya Balan and Sanya Malhotra bring in the film. As a director, Anu Menon said that working with him brought her sheer joy and also gives her satisfaction as a director because of his passion. The film s presently being shot in Mumbai and will further be shot in the UK as per schedule. The movie will be released worldwide next year.
