The makers of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak moved Delhi HC to challenge the trial court's order asking them to make last-minute changes ahead of its release.

On same day that film hit atres, Fox Star Studios approached Delhi High Court to challenge decision to make last-minute changes. Delhi HC reserved its order and will prounce its verdict on Saturday, as per ANI.

Aparna Bhat, lawyer who represented acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, h sought a stay on release in a plea before Patiala House Court on Thursday. She h expressed her displeasure over t being credited in movie. court ordered makers to ‘recognise’ her contribution since, apart from legal help, she h also helped director Meghna Gulzar in scripting sts of film.

“ court has considered that facts in plea for -interim injunction is well-founded. It is necessary her contribution should be ackwledged by providing actual foot and ims, and line should be re that ‘Aparna Bhat continues to fight cases of sexual and physical violence against women,” judge h stated.
Earlier, Bhat h posted about her unhappiness on Facebook after finding her name missing in movie post-screening.

Chhapaak has landed in multiple controversies in last few days. A writer has sued makers for t crediting him as a writer, a matter that is pending before Bombay High Court at moment. Deepika making an appearance at JNU too sparked a row across country.
