Disha Patani's next KTina will also have Abhilash Thapliyal in a pivotal role

Abhilash Thapliyal of Dil Juunglee fame is the next actor to be a part of Disha Patani starrer KTina. According to multiple reports, the comedian-actor-host will essay the role of Sunil Arora in the rumoured Ekta Kapoor biopic. Reports suggest that the shooting of the film KTina has already begun.

Abhilash Thapliyal’s role in KTina

Abhilash Thapliyal was previously seen in comedy shows like Comedy Circus and Entertainment Ki Raat, where he portrayed multiple character mimics. In the film, he will reportedly play the role of Sunil Arora, a political science student who is also in a crisis situation with his virginity. His story is spanned over the reel character’s life from the 20’s to 40’s. The actor said in an interview that his role required some amount of practice to master as he is playing a 40-year-old for the first time. Abhilash Thapliyal ventured into Bollywood in 2018 with theTaapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem’s starrer Dil Juungglee. KTina will only be his second film where has to essay a complex character who is unhappy within but bright on the outside. In an interview to a publication, Abhilash said that they have wrapped up with the film's schedule in Chandigarh and Mohali.

Disha Patani in KTina

It is speculated that the film KTina is the biography of television and Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor. The makers of the film released the first look of Disha through Instagram, where she posed while doing a Namaste. In the picture, Disha Patani is clad with astrological rings and heavy accessories similar to what Ekta Kapoor wears every day. Reportedly KTina is directed by Ashima Chibber and screenplay is brought to life by Raaj Shaandilyaa of Dream Girl fame. The release date of the film is yet under wraps, but the film can be expected in the latter half of 2020.
