Kangana Ranaut commences shooting for Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi
Kangana Ranaut recently revealed her association with the movie Thalaivi. The actor along with the team started shooting for the movie on November 10, 2019.

Kangana Ranaut is one of the most celebrated actors of Bollywood. She recently revealed being the part of the movie, Thalaivi. The movie is a biopic of the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa. Since, the announcement of the movie, Kangana’s team has been actively posting pictures of her preparing for her role in the movie. She has been taking Bharatanatyam classes so as to be in the shoes of the character. On November 10, 2019, the producer of the movie, Shaailesh R Singh made an announcement of the commencement of the movie shoot by posting a picture on his Instagram handle.
Shaailesh posted a picture of the clapperboard of the movie, Thalaivi on November 10, 2019. In the caption of the picture, he wrote, "commencing on a beautiful journey of Thalaivi". The team of Kangana Ranaut also reposted the picture giving her fans an update of the beginning of the shoot.

About the movie – Thalaivi
Thalaivi is directed by A.L.Vijay and the cast of the movie includes Kangana Ranaut, Ashutosh Rana, Prakash Jha, and Sameera Reddy. The film is slated to hit the theatres in 2020. The movie is a biopic of Jayalalithaa. She was the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

Ranaut made her debut with 2006 film, Gangster, for which she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Ranaut has featured in several successful films like Queen, Woh Lamhe, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, the romantic comedy sequels- Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. She also appeared in a Tamil film named Dhaam Dhoom. Kangana Ranaut was last seen in the movie, Judgementall Hai Kya, opposite Rajkummar Rao. She has two upcoming movies in the coming year that is, Dhaakad and Zindabad.
