Kangana Ranaut undergoes a prosthetic look test for Thailaivi

With so many biopics coming up these days, Bollywood filmmakers are all set to make another biopic. It is expected to be on Jayaram Jayalalitha, who was also known as the Iron lady of India. She is the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu and was in charge for over fourteen years. The film is directed by AL Vijay. The film will be primarily made in Tamil and dubbed in many languages, and the title of the Hindi version of this movie is likely to be Jaya.

Kangana Ranaut takes prosthetic tests in Los Angeles

Kangana Ranaut will be playing the role of Jayalalitha in this movie. The story is based on four phases of the life of the late actor turned politician. Kangana recently underwent a prosthetic test for the same in LA. In her tweet, she said that her life is similar to that of J Jayalalithaa’s. She also added that her story is somewhat similar to Jayalalithaa’s story, but a bigger success. Kangana will be learning Tamil for the film, and jokingly said the filmmakers will have to look for an option for her dubbing if she fails miserably.

Kangana’s sister, Rangoli tweeted on her Twitter account about the prosthetic tests Kangana underwent for the look of Jayalalithaa, in Los Angeles. In the picture, Kangana can be seen covered in prosthetic glue for the look.

Apart from learning Tamil, Kangana will also be learning Bharatnatyam for the film. The shooting for the same will begin in October in Mysore. Meanwhile, there are talks that Gautam Menon is set to make a web series on the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The web series will have 11 episodes and will be released on Mx player.

Previously, actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor have all used prosthetics for their films. The prosthetic make-up is done to make the actor look older or younger as per the story's plotline. For Kangana, the entire process took around 3-4 hours during the look test, and the actor had to wait patiently as the team went on experimenting with her face for getting the look right. This will be the first time we see Kangana in a prosthetic makeup avatar.
