Laila Majnu Re-Release: The romantic drama starring Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary initially hit the big screens in 2018. It bombed at the box office but became the launchpad of its leading stars. However, 6 years on, its re-release has led to the audiences accepting it with open arms, so much so that the film will surpass the lifetime collections of the film in its original run in just five days after its return to cinema halls.
Laila Majnu re-release box office report
Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri's romantic drama Laila Majnu re-released on August 9. It is enjoying a fantastic re-release run at the domestic box office and is all set to surpass its lifetime original run in the flat 5 days which is a big achievement.
According to Sacnilk, the Sajid Ali directorial minted approximately ₹70 lakh gross collection on its first Monday (4th day) which is almost three times what it earned on its opening day, which was ₹25 lakh. The total collection of the movie is now approximately ₹2.85 crores gross in 4 days which is already higher than the film's first week total during its original run. Laila Majnu will outgross its final original run of approximately 3.20 crores gross in India on Tuesday night.
August 15 releases to affect Laila Majnu
Reportedly, Laila Majnu would have performed much better at the box office second time around had new releases on Independence Day 2024 not posed as a big competition to it. Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa are the new Bollywood releases arriving on August 15 and if it sustains, it might go past the recently re-released Ranbir Kapoor's Rockstar which grossed over ₹10 crore in India. The movie is trending much better than anticipated as it went almost unnoticed during its original run back in 2018.
