MHA to seek report from Maharashtra Government in Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe

In a massive development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe, the Ministry of Home Affairs will now step in and seek a report from Maharashtra Government

In a massive development in Sushant Singh Rajput death probe, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will w step in and seek a report from Maharashtra Government. This comes shortly after sources reported that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dialled MHA requesting for m to step into matter, expressing dissatisfaction in way Bihar Police was being treated by authorities in Mumbai.

While MHA was t stepping in since law and order is a state subject, clashes between police of two states and alleged obstruction by Mumbai police was brought to Centre's tice by Bihar Government. Following this, MHA is likely to seek a detailed report on Sushant's investigation from Maharastra government.

Bihar top-cop forcibly quarantined 

Earlier in day, in a shocking incident, senior officer IPS officer Vinay Tiwari who was deployed by Bihar Police to monitor and lead probe into Sushant's death was forcibly quarantined by BMC in Mumbai. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar termed development as 't right' while Bihar DGP revealed that he is attempting to contact his Maharashtra counterpart.

"Whatever happened to him is t right. It is t political and Bihar Police is carrying out its duty. Our DGP will speak to m," said Nitish Kumar. 

A question has also been raised on timing of this move and why or officials from 4-member Bihar police team were t put into quarantine upon arrival. Maharashtra Home Minister scarpered when asked about matter. Mumbai police is facing unprecedented heat on account of Bihar police's probe turning up details that are seeming conspicuous by ir absence from previous work done in Sushant case.
