After much anticipation, the trailer of Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday's Pati, Patni Aur Woh released on Monday. However, a marital rape monologue was delivered by the lead of the film which did not sit well with fans & netizens. And now reportedly, the makers have now stated that they got 'carried away' while assigning the dialogue and have now decided to edit out the controversial dialogue from the final cut of Pati, Patni Aur Woh. The makers went on to say that Aaryan's monologue in Pyaar Ka Punchnama was a hit, and they tried to pull off the same in the film, but since they have realized its offensive, they have decided to weed it out from the final cut.
For the uninitiated, an atrocious and sexist remark made by Kartik Aaryan in the trailer hasn't gone down well with the fans and users on social media. Kartik Aaryan (Chintu Tyagi) tells his friend, played by Aparshakti Khurana: "Biwi se sex maang lein, toh hum bhikaari. Biwi ko sex naa de, toh hum atyaachari. Biwi ko sex mana kar dein, toh hum atyachaari aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke uss se sex haasil kar lein na toh balaatkaari bhi hum hain."

The story of the film is such that Mr. and Mrs. Tyagi live a happy life until Tapasya enters their life as the secretary of Chintu Tyagi. He then starts developing feelings for her and the troubles follow. Chintu Tyagi then finds himself stuck between his wife and his secretary. Chintu Tyagi’s character is the same as that of Ranjeet in the original film. After the trailer released recently, the comparison of the acting skills of the two actors is in talks. Kartik Aaryan since his first movie is very famous for his monologue. In the trailer of this film too, Kartik Aaryan is seen delivering a monologue.
