Shahid
Directed by Hansal Mehta, Shahid was reportedly one of Rajkummar Rao’s best performances. Shahid is a courtroom drama, and Rajkummar Rao’s acting in the film gained much appreciation. The actor even won a National Award for the movie. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Baljinder Kaur were also cast in the lead role alongside Rajkummar Rao.

Trapped
In 2016, Rajkummar aced the role of a man in need for basic necessities and once again proved his worth in the industry, purely on the basis of his talent. He won a Filmfare award for Best Actor for this movie. Trapped was a Vikramaditya Motwane directorial. Geetanjali Thapa and Shiladitya Sen were also cast in the film.

Newton, the Amit Masurkar directorial was released in 2017. This movie, yet again, proved what Rajkummar is capable of when it comes to acting and plot selection. The movie won over 10 awards, out of which Rajkummar won the Screen Award for Best Actor (Critics). Pankaj Tripathi and Anjali Patil were also a part of the lead cast of the movie.

Boys Toh Boys Hain
Directed by Amit Vats, Boys Toh Boys Hain released in 2013. The movie also cast Samrat Arya, Divya Dutta, and Manu Chadha. The movie revolves around a group of four young boys who head out in search of the right woman to fall in love with. However, their never-ending problems in life make it tough for them. The movie did not do well at the box office and did not gain any acknowledgement either.

Behen Hogi Teri
The movie was rom-com starring Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Hassan as the lead pair. Rajkummar Rao played the role of Gattu, and Shruti Hassan was seen as his neighbour Binny. It deals with how Gattu falls in love with Binny but has to treat her like a sister because of the social rule in their locality. The fresh pair couldn’t save the movie and it was a flop at the box office.
5 Weddings
The movie was released in 2018 and directed by Namrata Singh Gujral. 5 Weddings is based on An American journalist who travels to India to cover Bollywood weddings only to uncover a mosaic of cultural clashes, transgender tangles, and lost loves, with her travels culminating at a destination where the only journey is the one within. The movie also stars Nargis Fakhri and Bo Derek. The movie did not gain any acknowledgement at the box office and has a 3.3 rating on IMDb.
