Renuka Shahane to Amruta Fadnavis: 'Don't politicise Sushant's death to badmouth Mumbai'
Renuka Shahane expressed her displeasure about Amruta Fadnavis saying Mumbai was not 'safe', urging her not to politicise Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

Renuka Shahane expresed her displeasure over former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadnavis’ statement that Mumbai was longer ‘safe’ in wake of deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian. actor termed comment ‘really unfair’, highlighting how city had provided livelihood to numerous people. Throwing light on efforts of Mumbai Police in COVID-19 pandemic, she claimed that one should t politicise someone’s death to ‘badmouth Mumbai.’

Renuka unhappy with Amruta Fadnavis statement
Responding to Amruta Fadnavis’ statement, actor stated that Mumbai ‘homes millions’ and added that ‘however tattered roof or blanket’, city gave residents ‘a reason to hope, dream & smile even without Z security.’ Hum Aapke Hai Koun! star added that Mumbai Police was ‘working tirelessly’ to keep citizen safe even during COVID. She urged Amruta to help in investigation if she had details that could help in probe.
Renuka also responded to a netizen who defended Amruta’s statement that re was thing ‘political’ in her statement. actor responded that she had t made any statement during collapse of Elphinstone Bridge that had happened during Devendra Fadnavis’ tenure.

Amid reports of Bihar Police, who have registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and ors, t being provided details of case by Mumbai Police, Renuka called ‘Bihar vs Mumbai’ debate as ‘nsense’. She added that investigation had to happen without pressure from media and politicians. actor added that re was proof about numerous allegations in case, and that people were being ‘ judge’ before investigation was completed.

Earlier Devendra Fadnavis too had questioned reluctance of Uddhav Thackeray government in transferring case to CBI.
Meanwhile, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar gave go-ahead to recommend a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput case. leader also expressed his displeasure at ‘forced’ quarantine of IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, as Bihar Police continued to record statements and gar evidences amid alleged ncooperation of Mumbai Police.
