Rishi Kapoor reacts to video of musicians in Turkey singing ‘Awara Hoon’, remembers Raj Kapoor and Shankar-Jaikishan
The 'Karz' actor shared a clip of two men singing 'Awaara Hoon' and playing instruments in the old town of Turkey. Making a sincere appeal, the 66-year-old actor wrote that the works of these two talented artists should be lauded and they should be recognised for keeping their work alive through a plethora of generation in India and in overseas as well.

His tweet read,
iconic song from 1951 'Awaara' features legendary actor Raj and music of song was composed by Shankar-Jaikishan. Shankar-Jaikishan got ir break with Raj Kapoor directorial 'Barsaat' in 1949 and had many hit numbers from Movies like 'Daag' 'Shree 420' ' Nagina' to ir credit.

A few weeks ago, on solemn event of his far's death Anniversary, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who is in New York for medical treatment for past eight months, paid hom to greatest showman of Hindi cinema.
"But we will always be yours! Khyber 14 1924 (Peshawar )- June 2 1988 (New Delhi)," said his tweet.
