Womaniya- initial title before Saand Ki Aankh 

According to various reports film’s producer Anurag Kashyap had named it ‘Womaniya’ in pre-production st.  However, this invited several legal implications from Anurag’s former directorial Gangs of Wasseypur and its parent company. Pritish Nandy claimed that word ‘Womaniya’ is registered under his company. Anurag Kashyap said that he has intellectual rights over word as he has coined term. According to film's trailer, two actresses come across a series of events where y have to stand up for mselves against aristocratic men. In trailer, men are seen looking down on women who can shoot or participate in a competition. Chandro and Prakashi are both seen up in arms ready to defend whatever is at stake.
