Shabana Azmi gives RARKPK twist to her throwback photo with Dharmendra

Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra have been in the news owing to their brief kissing scene in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In the Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer movie, they play old lovers, Jamini and Kawal ji, who reunite with the help of their grandchildren. Amid all the love and appreciation they received, Shabana has shared a throwback picture with a Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani twist.

On Thursday, the actor shared a major throwback picture on her Instagram handle in which she is standing close to Dharmendra. Shabana has given Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani a twist in the caption. "At the time Jamini from #Rocky Aur Rani must have met Kanwalji! From Mardon Wali Baat," she wrote.

Soon after she shared the post, her fans flooded the comment section. A user suggested RARKPK makers, "This picture should have been used in the movie." Another wrote, "You both are awesome in RARPK... I felt you both are the hero-heroine of the movie... super chemistry."

What Shabana Azmi said on her kissing scene with Dharmendra in RARKPK?

Shabana Azmi said that she is happy that the audience, especially young people, has embraced the much-discussed kiss. However, she questioned why is this so surprising. "An actor who has a strong woman image, why is it not possible that she can also be a romantic person? It's not like strong women don't have any romantic bones in their body," the actress told PTI.

"I think it's the deliciousness of it that has taken people by surprise, and they just adore it. It's the younger generation that's really doing all the clapping and cheering," the actress concluded.

Dharmendra had also broken his silence on the kissing scene with Shabana Azmi. Speaking at an event, he said, "Yeh toh mere baayen haath ka khel hain (It is such an easy task for me)."

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, also starred Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Jaya Bachchan in the lead roles.
