Shatrughan Sinha had a message for PM Modi on his visit to Leh to boost the morale of the Armed Forces. The Congress leader also condemned the Kanpur encounter

Prime Minister Narendra Modi boosted morale of armed forces with his visit to base camp in Leh on Friday. Amid tensions with China at border, visit was once termed ‘sudden’ and a ‘surprise’ like strong mess sent by government in banning 59 Chinese apps threatening security of nation, a few days ago. PM Modi’s gesture was hailed by numerous celebrities and Shatrughan Sinha too expressed his appreciation.

Taking to Twitter, Shatrughan Sinha 'congratulated’ PM and conveyed that ‘nation stands united’ with leer ‘in this hour.’ Calling Prime Minister as a ‘guardian of nation’, Congress leer expressed support of citizens in whatever decisions PM took. actor-politician also praised PM for ‘inspiring & motivating’ Armed Forces and paying his respects to ‘martyred bravehearts.’

Earlier, Anupam Kher, Mhur Bhandarkar, Prasoon Joshi, Ashoke Pandit and those associated with BJP like Paresh Rawal, Ravi Kishan and Smriti Irani h hailed Prime Minister for his visit. Some of m highlighted his statement, ''I think of two mors before taking any decisions on national security - Bharat Mata & mors who gave birth to such brave soldiers,” with Kher saying his eyes were moist on hearing words.

Accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General Maj Mukund Naravane, Prime Minister visited Nimu base in Eastern Lakh and interacted with personnel of Army, Air Force and ITBP. He also visited injured personnel at Army Hospital, as he hailed spirit and sacrifices of soldiers.

In same thre, Shatrughan Sinha spoke of encounter in Kanpur in which eight police officials were killed. Dostana star wrote that nation was ‘aghast’ with ‘dreful & horrific news’. Conveying his prayers and condolences, he hoped tough action would be taken by his ‘friend’, Chief Minister Yogi ityanath and Uttar Presh Police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Devendra Mishra, three sub-inspectors and four constables were killed in encounter when a team arrived in Bikaru vill to arrest a gangster facing 60 cases, Vikas Dubey. While gangster is still at large, police have found details of his 21 associates, including two who were killed in encounter.
