The Sky Is Pink: The only Asian movie to premiere at TIFF 2019

The Sky Is Pink is set to release on October 11, 2019, and it is the only Asian film to get premiered in this year's Toronto International Film Festival

Sky is Pink is an upcoming biographical drama that is set to release in Indian atres on October 11, 2019. film will star Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar in le roles. Based on real-life of Pulmonary Fibrosis survivor Aisha Chaudhary, movie has been directed by Shonali Bose. Sky is Pink has alrey me its international premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2019 (TIFF), on September 13. It also happens to be only Asian movie that featured during TIFF this year.

movie was successfully premiered during Toronto International Film Festival 2019. During event, both le actors were interviews by a news ncy. Priyanka was shooting for film during initial days of her marri and found role of Aisha’s mor to be extremely taxing due to mes of movie. However, she mand to work through because of her husband Nick Jonas's support. He said that cast tried ir best to be respectful to se real-life events and that hopefully, movie would be able to do justice to  real story of Chaudhary family.

After its screening at Roy Thomson Hall, film received a standing ovation from a crowd of about 2,000 viewers. audience stood and clapped for movie for around 15 minutes. Later movie also screened at  Elgin atre and once again received thundering applause from viewers. During event, director Shonali Bose was interviewed by a news ncy. She said that first screening of a film is always a tense moment. 

Aisha Chaudhary passed away only a day after publication of her book My Little Epiphanies. She died on January 24, 2015, at of 18. movie will span across 25 years of Chaudhary family’s life. It will be portrayed as a narration from Aisha Chaudhary and will depict events through her point of view.
