Turram Khan: Everything to know about Rajkummar Rao's upcoming film

Rajkummar Rao is all set to team up with Nushrat Bharucha and Hansal Mehta for his upcoming film. Rao debut alongside Nushrat in the movie ‘Love Sex Aur Dhoka’ (2010). Hansal has collaborated multiple times with Rajkummar Rao, their last collaboration being ‘Omerta’ (2017). The trio is all set to entertain the audience again with the movie ‘Turram Khan.’ Turram Khan is slated to hit the theatres on January 31, 2020.

About the movie- Turram Khan

The film is based on a small town in Uttar Pradesh and is a unique social comedy. The movie stars Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha in lead roles. The movie is co-produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub is also part of the movie. The first announcement of the movie was made by the director Hansal Mehta on his social media account. On September 10, 2018, he tweeted about the movie, saying that it felt like he is making a debut all over again. He divulged details about the lead star cast as well as the production team in the same post. Hansal Mehta announced the release date of the movie to be August 31, 2019.  Hansal tweeted about the release date on the occasion of Rajkummar Rao’s birthday.

Rajkumar Rao also expressed his excitement about the movie on Twitter. The actor said that he is excited to collaborate with Hansal Mehta. He reportedly quoted that Turram Khan is an interesting story. Rao also wrote that he is looking forward to the fun association with the production team for Turram Khan. In a recent interview, Nushrat Bharucha said that she is very excited about Turram Khan. She said it is going to be a very different movie. She expressed her desire to do the kind of cinema, which this movie offers. Nushrat Bharucha informed that she always wanted a Hansal Mehta film where they travel to small villages and shoot.

Rajkummar Rao on the work front:

Rajkummar Rao was last seen in the movie ‘Judgemental hai kya’ (2019). He is currently busy, shooting for the movie ‘Made in China’. His other upcoming movies include Shimla Mirchi, Swagat hain (announced) and Priceless (announced).

Recently, Nushrat Bharucha was a part of a blockbuster hit ‘Dream Girl’ alongside Ayushmann Khuranna. Apart from Turram Khan, she has one more upcoming movie ‘Hurdang’,  which is scheduled to release in 2020.
