Did Prime Video pull down Vishal Bhardwaj's film owing to Tandav?
Speaking to Mid-Day, Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that his project on 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814 was dropped by Prime Video. He ded that digital platform got cold feet following controversy of ir show Tandav and fearing ar controversy, y decided to pull plug saying, "don’t want to do anything political."

“At one point I was working on IC814 hijack project. I worked on that for 7-8 years. I was making it for Amazon, but after Tandav, y pulled plug saying y didn’t want to do anything political. I don’t think it was political, whole country was humiliated, it h thing to do with any political party. But y were so paraid, y still are, that y didn’t want to touch anything political," revealed director.
This was t first film that got shelved owing to same reason. His project based on screen aptation of rian Levy and Cathy Scott-Clark’s book, Exile: Flight of Osama Bin Len was also shelved as one of interested. “Osama is shelved. It was a fantastic script, but again, body is interested,” Vishal ded.
