WATCH: Vicky Kaushal condemns Pulwama terror attack, says 'It should not be forgotten or forgiven'

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal who rose to fame with his performance in his latest venture 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' reacted to the dastardly Pulwama terror attack on CRPF and condemned the cowardly move of the terrorists. During a media interaction recently, the actor expressed his views on the same and said that 'it should not be forgotten or forgiven'.

When asked about what he thinks should be done next, he said, "I think I don't have enough knowledge to comment on what our nation do next. It's very easy to say do this or do that, but there are also reparations to it. So, I think let's wait for our government to take the best move. I am sure serious talks on the same are going on somewhere, and people having more knowledge than me are discussing the issue, so we should rely on them. But the pain and anger we are feeling unitedly it should not be forgotten or forgiven."

40 CRPF Jawans were martyred on Thursday as the convoy they were traveling in, on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, was attacked by a suicide bomber in an explosives-laden car. The Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for what has become the worst terror attack on the forces in many decades, drawing condemnation from across the world.

Previously, following the incident, Vicky took to Twitter and raised his voice against the same and extended condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers.

In the post, he wrote, "Deeply saddened and shocked to hear the news of the terror attack in # Pulwama. My heart goes out to the families of the brave CRPF soldiers we lost today and praying for the speedy recovery of those injured."

He had also put up a note in his Instagram story in which he wrote, "Numb, sad, angry. Prayers with the families of our martyrs and those injured. #PULWAMA".

The film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' that released on January 11, 2019, is based on the September 2016 attack by Pakistani terrorists on the Indian Army brigade HQ in Uri, J&K and subsequent Surgical Strike by Indian security forces on terror launchpads in Pakistan. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, and Mohit Raina in the lead.

It featured Vicky as an Indian soldier who leads the army for the mission. The film has received great reviews from the audience and critics as they have praised the film for its patriotic zeal. It is written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies.

Meanwhile, The makers of the film have announced that their team has committed Rs 1 Crore to the families of URI attack and will ensure that a part of it goes to the victims of the dastardly Pulwama attack. 

Talking a stand against the recent attack, India has revoked Pakistan's Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status and also approached diplomatic missions of numerous countries to isolate Pakistan globally. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that there is incontrovertible evidence of Pakistan's hand being behind the attack, while PM Modi has assured that the sacrifices of the CRPF Jawans would not go in vain and that a free hand has been given to the security forces to avenge the attack.
