Superstar Rajinikanth went to the Maldives after wrapping up the shoot for his film titled Lal Salaam. The film has been directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Recently, the actor returned to Chennai for the audio launch of Jailer. Now, a a video of him receiving a grand welcome on the island as gone viral.

Rajinikanth's grand arrival in the Maldives

Rajinikanth was reportedly staying at a grand and luxurious resort in the Maldives. The actor received a grand and warm welcome on his arrival at the resort. A video of the same has surfaced online. In the video, Rajinikanth is seen arriving at the resort in broad daylight in a yacht. The staff is seen waiting for him. 

Soon after the Thalaivar arrived, the staff members formed a circle around him and began to greet him. The Jailer actor shook hands with them with a bright smile on his face. He then began to walk towards the resort. While he walked, artists played drums and the others were seen showering rose petals on his feet. Sharing the clip, the resort managers wrote, "Welcoming Thalaiva Sir Rajinikanth to Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives." 

Rajinikanth returns for audio launch of Jailer

The star, neanwhile, is back in Chennai. On July 26, Rajinikanth returned to the city ahead of the audio launch of Jailer. The film, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, and others, is set to release in theatres on August 10. Jailer is touted to be an action comedy drama, It is helmed by Nelson.
