Rare Himalayan Serow spotted in Spiti, pictures amuse internet

Marking good news for wildlife lovers, a rare Himalayan serow has been captured on camera. Rare photographs of Himalayan being were shared by ANI on Twitter where y created a stir immediately. In photographs, one could see greyish-brown colour animal standing against crystal clear blue water and beige rocks. As per Susanta Nanda, Himalayan serow (capricornis thar), has an appearance of a goat with long, donkey-like ears, and a habit of standing with forelegs astrdle, make Serow an ungainly goat antelope. 

'First photographic record' 

photographs were ed by Wildlife Division, Spiti and it marked “first photographic record of this species in cold desert.” According to ANI, Extinct Himalayan Serow were spotted at Hurling vill in Spiti district of Himachal Presh. As per IUCN list, species have been considered near threatened.  picture has w left everyone amused. Since shared, it has racked up over 3 thousand likes and a variety of comments.

Recently, a photo of a white cougar has taken internet by storm. picture of white cougar was taken at Serra dos Orgaos National Park that is located in south-eastern part of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. picture was taken in 2013 and this is a confirmed case of genetic mutation that is also kwn as leucism. In this mutation, whole body of animal will turn white. This is unusual and makes this cougar one of  rare animals found presently in world.
