Soumitra Chatterjee's glorious career
Dasaheb Phalke award-winning actor h a lion's share in unparalleled contribution to world of art and cinema. He was a multi-talented artist as he donned various roles as a screenplay artist, a dramatist, a atre performer, a poet, and a literary composer. Chatterjee shot to fame with his table performance in Satyajit Ray’s Apu trilogy, 'Apur Sansar' (1959). iconic actor, however, delivered unforgettable roles in or masterpieces that unfurled his subtlety earned him distinction.

Chatterjee's daughter Poulomi Basu, who was present re, thanked actor's followers and fans for ir support for last 40 days when he was in hospital. Basu said mortal remains of iconic actor would be taken to his Golf Green home and n to famed Technicians Studio, nerve center of Bengali film industry, where members of film fraternity and technicians will pay ir last respects to him.
'Ábhijan' star's body will be n taken to Rabindra San to allow people have ir last glimpse of actor and from re he will be taken to Keoratla crematorium in a procession in evening observing coronavirus regulations. Banerjee anunced that re would be a gun salute before last rites as a mark of respect to Da Saheb Phalke awardee.
