  • The Conjuring(2013): This movie is one of the most popular films made in the horror genre all over the world. It created a stir as soon as it released. The audience loved the film and Conjuring did exceptionally well globally. The film is now a franchise with more two installments, with one releasing in 2020. The Conjuring 2 did even better than the first film at the box-office.

  • Annabelle(2014): Another film which can scare you as much as it can entertain you is Annabelle. Similar to Conjuring, Annabelle has two more installments namely, Annabelle: Creations(2017) and Annabelle: Comes Home(2019).
  • Sinister(2012): Even though Sinister is an older film as compared to other choices in this list, there’s a reason why it deserves to be mentioned. The hard-hitting screenplay, super spooky scenes and exceptional performances made it a blockbuster film.

  • IT(2017): If you are someone who likes scary clowns then IT is the movie for you. With Jaeden Martel in the lead, the film is full of strange and weird encounters between the characters. The background music of the film gives you a nail-biting experience.
