Varun Tej, who is gearing up for his upcoming release Gandeevadhari Arjuna, opened up about his wedding plans. The actor recently got engaged to his long-time girlfriend, actress Lavanya Tripathi. Speaking to Idlebrain.com, the actor revealed that the couple is planning for a destination wedding.

Speaking to the portal, Varun Tej revealed that the couple are planning to get married by the end of this year, either in November or December. The actor added that he wants to get married in Hyderabad. However, in wake to keep their wedding a private affair, they are planning a destination wedding.

“We are looking at a wedding date in November or December this year. I'd love to get married in Hyderabad but it is not possible as I want it to be a private affair. Hence, it’s going to be a destination wedding. We are looking at three places in India and a couple of places abroad. A final decision will be taken soon," added Varun Tej.

The love story 

Varun and Lavanya met on the sets of their first film together, Mister (2017), in which they played the roles of lovers. Speaking about how it blossomed into love, the actor said that they started as "good friends." Before the shooting of Antarikshan, they fell in love and started dating.

“We first worked together for Mister and we became good friends. I think it got upgraded into love. I am a private person and my parents knew about it. It stayed that way till we announced our engagement,” the actor concluded.
