Ahead of Panchayat polls, Andhra SEC issues notice to TDP over alleged violation of MCC
Ahead of Panchayat elections, Andhra Pradesh SEC on Saturday has issued a notice to TDP seeking a response on a complaint filed by YSR Congress Party.

Andhra Presh State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagda Ramesh Kumar on Saturday issued a tice to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) seeking a response on a complaint filed by YSR Congress Party. tice said that a complaint has been received by YSR Congress Party with regard to Panchayat Elections manifesto released by TDP.

Earlier on Friday, YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) general secretary Lella Appireddy on Friday h complained to SEC that publishing and circulating manifesto for gram panchayat elections is a violation of an order issued by State Election Commission and appealed to take appropriate action. Acting on complaint, SEC sought an explanation from TDP state general secretary M Venkata Raju. SEC asked TDP to submit its response latest by February 2, and if it failed to submit a response on time, SEC will draw necessary conclusions.

Gram Panchayat elections in Andhra Presh will be held in four phases across state next month, beginning February 9. polling for final phase of elections will be held on February 21.
