Casting aspersions over preparations for  Maha Kumbh Mela 2021,  Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parish on Friday announced that it was rey to organize mammoth festival on its own if Uttarakhand Government and ministration did not cooperate.

"It is duty of government to make arrangements. But no work has been started yet. We are not happy with attitude of ministration. But Maha Kumbh Mela 2021 will be as grand and divine as it was in 2010, no matter Uttarakhand government cooperates or not," he said.

On or hand, Mahant Narendra Giri, however, lauded Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath for government's arrangements for  Magh Mela 2021. "I will go to Prayagraj to oversee arrangements being me by Uttar Presh government for upcoming Magh Mela 2021. I have invited chief minister and officials of Uttarakhand to visit Prayagraj to know how arrangements are being me," he said. Giri is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and request him to conduct Kumbh Mela in a "grand manner."

Getting preparations rolling,  Uttarakhand ministration on Saturday announced that forty companies of central paramilitary forces will be deployed for Kumbh Mela including personnel of SSB, CISF, ITBP, BSF and CRPF.  ditionally keeping pandemic in mind, a special COVID officer would also be deployed for mela. This year, all shopkeepers in mela area have been asked to frequently use masks and hand sanitizers. Haridwar Kumbh will be held from January to April. event is expected to draw in 35 to 50 lakh devotees and tourists.
