Amit Shah: Sharad Pawar suffering from cataract of 'greed of votes'

Amit Shah was addressing a poll rally in Maharashtra’s Rajura where he said that NCP supremo Sharad Pawar is suffering from the cataract of "greed for votes".

Union Home Minister Amit Shah came down hard on Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for questioning relevance of Article 370's abrogation in Maharashtra Assembly election campaign, saying that NCP supremo Shar Pawar is suffering from cataract of "greed for votes". Shah was dressing a poll rally in Maharashtra’s Rajura on Friday. Sanjay Yaorao Dhote is sitting BJP MLA from this seat.

"Maharashtra is land of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Veer Savarkar and Bal Ganghar Tilak. land where fight for 'Swaraj' began. w, y were asking about relationship between Maharashtra and Article 370. Pawar Sahab, you have got cataract of greed for votes. You cant see what people of state want," said Amit Shah. He ded that  BJP is a party of patriots led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis, unlike Congress-NCP that is run by Gandhi and Pawar dynasties.

BJP President also attacked opposition in state for t doing eugh for ivasi communities who have historically played a key role in Independence struggle. “Your four generations ruled nation for 70 years, what have you done for ivasis?” Amit Shah said party h respect for tribal communities.

Rajura constituency in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district has a sizable tribal population. constituency has over three lakh voters. Shah wooed ivasi voters with promise that Modi government will give 'Patta' (lease on land) to tribals soon after removal of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in Maharashtra.

Speaking about Centre's open defecation-free (ODF) programme, Amit Shah said, "Shar Pawar laughs and says that Modi Ji calls toilet a development. Pawar Saheb, you will realize importance of toilets when you will get to kw diffidence of mors and sisters, who defecate in open." He also said that Shar Pawar will never feel pain of women as he has collected "millions and billions of rupees".

BJP here faces a challenge from Congress leer Subhash Ramchandrarao Dhote, who was defeated in 2014 Assembly polls and Mahaling Naganand Kanthale of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
