Before the induction of the Apache AH-64E attack helicopters into the Indian Air Force, the choppers received the traditional water cannon salute as a sign of honour and respect. The water cannon salute took place with two fire fighting trucks spraying water on the arriving helicopter by forming two arcs. The induction took place at Pathankot Air Base on Tuesday where eight Apache combat helicopters were added to the fleet of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Four helicopters were previously delivered to the IAF in July by manufacturer Boeing.
