Bihar Floods: Government initiates fogging in flood-affected areas
Bihar government began the fogging process in waterlogged areas of the flood-hit Bihar. Fogging is being done to prevent the outbreak of vector-borne diseases

Bihar government on Thursday began fogging process in water-logged areas of flood-hit State. Fogging in Bihar is being done to prevent risk of vector-borne diseases in flood-affected regions.
"We are fogging Rajendra Nagar area and also spraying bleaching powder. We have also tried to operate JCB machine in Dinkar Golambar, Vaishali Chowk and here. We are also distributing bleach powder to each household so that people can spray it inside ir houses. We have also cleared most of animal carcasses from this area," District Magistrate, Patna Kumar Ravi said while speaking to media.

District Magistrate furr said that more machines have been brought in Bihar from outside and are currently being set up in water-logged areas to fasten relief work in affected areas of State.
After extremely heavy rainfall that resulted in floods in state, 73 people have died and, nine reported injured, according to state officials. According to a news ncy, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has rescued over 10,000 people from Patna region of Bihar. rescue teams have been rowing people across flooded roads in inflated boats.

State authorities and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have so far evacuated over 10,000 citizens from flood-affected areas in Patna. According to reports, 19 NDRF teams have been sent out for evacuation. Out of 19 teams, five NDRF teams have been sent to Patna's flood-affected areas. IMD has issued a report stating that rain and thunderstorms are likely to continue in Bihar this week. According to news ncy ANI, an orange alert has been issued in Patna, Vaishali, Begusarai, and Khagaria districts for October 3 and 4.
