Pintu Tiwari, a murderer serving life sentence over a double murder case of two engineers in Darbhanga was seen celebrating his birthday along with fellow prisoners inside the premises of Sitamarhi jail in Bihar, which was decked up with balloons for the party. In a brazen violation of the jail manual, the murderer could be seen cutting the cake and accepting gifts from the inmates. In a viral video, the prisoners could be seen singing 'Happy birthday' for the murderer as he cut his birthday cake. Moreover, the party of the prisoners included a feast of rice, meat, and sweets inside the Bihar prison.

According to ANI, four guards of the Bihar jail faced suspension over the incidence, and a high-level inquiry was reportedly initiated to find out how the prisoners managed to celebrate Pintu Tiwari's birthday.

Unnao Prison

Back on June 27, a video released on social media found two prisoners charged with murder flaunting pistols and making provocative statements against the Yogi Adityanath government. Brazenly walking around the premises, the inmates could be seen posing for the camera, panning across jail compound, ostentatiously showing drugs and then shoving it off into the pockets.

Apart from brandishing pistols, the prisoners were seen getting outside food and consuming alcohol within the premises. The prisoner was also seen talking about turning the jail into an office. The Uttar Pradesh home department, however, came up with a bizarre clarification saying the pistol was apparently "made of clay" and looked real because one of the two inmates is a "good painter". The statement also issued a clarification on the food being laid out for these inmates.

Jailbreak

On June 23, four prisoners including two convicted for smuggling drugs and others facing trials in murder and rape cases escaped a high-security prison in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh.

Following the jailbreak, in the wee hours of the morning, a manhunt was launched to nab the four escaped. As per preliminary investigation, the four prisoners Nar Singh (20), Pankaj Mongia (21) (both from Rajasthan), and Lekh Ram (29) and Dubey Lal (19) cut the iron rod of their barrack at the sub-jail located in Kanavati area, just about 5 km from the district headquarters.

They then threw a rope across the 22-feet-tall boundary wall of the jail, climbed it with the help of some outside support and sneaked out of the prison compound, jailor R P Vasunai told PTI.
