Centre forms 10 teams for inspecting private hospitals treating COVID-19 patients in Delhi

The Centre has constituted 10 multi-disciplinary teams for visiting private hospitals treating COVID-19 patients in the national capital to check compliance with various directions issued by it and the Delhi government to contain the spread of the virus.

Centre has constituted 10 multi-disciplinary teams for visiting private hospitals treating COVID-19 patients in national capital to check compliance with various directions issued by it and Delhi government to contain spre of virus.

According to a Union Home Ministry order on Monday, teams will start ir visits immediately and will submit ir reports within two days.

multi-disciplinary teams are constituted to visit all private hospitals in National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi to check status of compliance with various directions issued by Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for testing and treating of COVID-19 patients and Government of NCT of Delhi to contain spre of virus, order said.

multi-disciplinary teams were set up as per decisions taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday in view of recent spike in coronavirus cases in Delhi.

An ditional team has also been constituted and kept as reserve. teams were given task of visiting about 114 private hospitals which are treating COVID-19 patients.

According to terms of reference, multi-disciplinary teams will look into wher in visited private hospitals, availability of wards and ICU beds are as per Delhi government orders, wher such availability is being displayed on a real-time basis by hospital through LED and through Corona Dashboard of Delhi government, and wher private hospitals are thoroughly observing COVID-19 discharge policy as mandated by central government.

or terms of reference include RT-PCR testing capacity, if available; capacity utilised and turnaround time of test report, are critical patients being referred to or government or private hospitals without ascertaining availability in those hospitals, if re is any or violation in treatment protocols.
