Chhattisgarh government to launch 5 new schemes on Gandhi Jayanti

Chhattisgarh government along with CM Bhupesh Baghel will be launching five new schemes on October 2 to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

Chhattisgarh government, under leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, will launch five new schemes on October 2, to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.  schemes are Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyaan (Chief Minister Nutrition Scheme), Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana (Chief Minister Market Clinic Scheme), Mukhyamantri Shahariya slum Swasthya Yojana (Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme), Universal PDS scheme and Mukhyamantri ward Karyalaya (Chief Minister Ward Offices). Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyaan has been started as a pilot project since June 2019 in some gram panchayats in Bastar, Chhattisgarh and or forest areas of state. Under scheme, fresh and nutritious food has been provided to malurished children and anaemic women with help of panchayats and self-help groups.

Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyaan

State government spoke about Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyaan pilot project in a release and said, " scheme has garnered good results, after which state has decided to launch Mahatma Gandhi Suposhan Abhiyaan. Action plan has been chalked out with a target to free Chhattisgarh from malnutrition and anaemia in next three years," reported news ncy ANI.

Under Mukhyamantri Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana, teams of health department along with doctors and essential equipment will visit local haat-bazaars to give health facilities in remote tribal and forest areas of state. y will also provide consultation, medicine, blood test and or pathological facilities free of cost, state government informed.

Mukhyamantri Shahariya Slum Swasthya Yojana

Under Mukhyamantri Shahariya Slum Swasthya Yojana, State government will provide medical teams along with available health facilities to cater to health care needs of over 7,80,000 people. 

"Under scheme, initially three mobile medical teams will be deployed in Raipur, two each in Bhilai and Korba and one each in or municipalities. After getting a good response of health care facilities being provided by mobile health teams in haat bazaars, state has decided to launch scheme in urban slum areas also," state government said.

Universal PDS scheme

Under Universal PDS, families falling in general category (taxpayers and n-taxpayers) will also be eligible for food grains. eligibility for general category ration card has been determined. A family having a single member will be eligible for 10 kg rice per month, a family of two members will get 20 kg rice per month and family of three and more than three members will get 35 kg rice per month at value of Rs 10 per kg. general category will be able to get food grains once ir ration cards have been issued to m.

Mukhyamantri Ward Karyalayas

Mukhyamantri Ward Karyalayas is being started in cities to render immediate availability of citizen services and facilities to people according to ir demands. In first phase on Gandhi Jayanti, se offices will start functioning in 13 cities. Through se offices, complaints related to cleanliness, environment, street lights, road maintenance, drain cleaning and water supply will be resolved within time limit.
