The Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, CK Mishra will be holding high-level meeting on air pollution on Monday, November 18

Secretary of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, CK Mishra will be holding a high-level meeting on air pollution on Monday, vember 18. This comes amidst worsening air quality (AQI) in NCR and or cities and towns in India. meeting will be attended by Chief Secretaries of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Presh. Senior officials from Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Power and Ministry of Agriculture will also be present in meeting.

Amongst or things, main nda of meeting will be to monitor measures that have been implied by government in country. meeting will also see discussions related to tackling several or issues caused by air pollution. As winter season is at our doorsteps, meeting will also discuss ditional measures required to reduce severity of air pollution.

officials from Ministry of Home Affairs will also be attending meeting. y are likely to put forth measures required for more effective traffic manment, which is ar factor aggravating problem of air pollution. meeting will also be attended by municipal commissioners of NDMC, SDMC, EDMC, etc. District Collectors of Faridab, Ghaziab, IDA, Greater ida will also participate via video conferencing.

Gautam Gambhir misses pollution meet
Parliamentary Standing Committee of Urban Development was postponed in Delhi on Saturday as MCD, Vice-Chairman of DDA, Secretary/Joint Secretary of Environment also did t attend it. Reportedly, 25 out of 29 members did t attend meeting even as air quality deteriorated in national capital of Delhi.
