UP: CM Yogi holds meeting with leading filmmakers over film city project

Yogi Adityanath unveiled an ambitious plan to set up a Dedicated Infotainment (film city) Zone and rolled out an open offer to film fraternity

Within days of anuncement about Film City in Uttar Presh, Chief Minister Yogi ityanath on Tuesday unveiled an ambitious plan to set up a Dedicated Infotainment (film city) Zone and rolled out an open offer to film fraternity to come to state. He also anunced that 1000 acre of land has been identified in Gautam Budh Nagar by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. (YEIDA)  where Infotainment Zone will be set up with all World Class Civil, Public and Techlogical facilities.A bevy of film personalities immediately lapped up prompt action of state government and said it has been a 'right step at right time'.

proposed site is just an hour away from New Delhi and very close to proposed International Airport at Jewar, going to be biggest greenfield airport of Asia. Having also been close to Agra, city of Taj, Mathura, birthplace of Krishna and near to proposed logistic hub in ida, proposed dry port and freight corridor thus providing all facilities of transport and movement,ded CM. 

UP is surrounded by seven states and provides a mosaic of culture, dialects and religious, Vedic and mythological  historicity unparalleled to any or state. ethos and tritions of state amplify vast natural and spiritual canvas of Uttar Presh,ded CM Yogi ityanath.

efforts will be to make this as best Dedicated Infotainment Zone of country. He said his government is well aware of present trend of OTT and Media Streaming Platforms hence High Capacity, World Class data Centre along with all pre-production and post-production infrastructure, processing labs, VFX and digital techlogy of international level will be provided in this zone. “We have locations, we have cultural diversity, and we have man power and w film city with state-of- art facilities. This is an ideal case for a Film City in Uttar Presh, '' Chief Minister said.

All policies of Industries will be applicable for takers and Single Window Mechanism will be used to facilitate those who want to come here and set up ir studio. He said state government's Film Policy-2018 has alrey some talking provisions. Even n, if some proposals are forthcoming from film fraternity, government will take those into consideration,ded ityanath.

In fact a number of film personalities including Vijayendra Pras,Ashok Pandit, Kailash Kher, Singer, Maj Joshi, Producer-Director, Nitin Desai, Producer-Director, Vid Bachchan, Producer-Director, Pragya Kumar, Singer Udit Narayan and Anup Jalota were present in meeting while Saundarya Rajnikant, Anupam Kher, Atul Agnihotri, Chairman of National School of Drama (NSD)  Paresh Rawal, Lyricist Maj Muntasir and Satish Kaushik interacted with CM on virtual platform.

prompt action by state government immediately received a positive response as ace Art Director Nitin Desai offered to set up an entire Film City on lines of what he has been set up in Mumbai.

He was of opinion that about 80 percent of technicians and workforce in Mumbai film industry is from UP and after industry in UP itself, availability of manpower will never be a problem. In ar offer, Sandeep Singh of Vistas Media, a Singapore based Company, has offered to set up a Film Acemy with an initial investment of 10 million Dollars.

Shri Ashok Pandit, Chairman of Film Producer Association, welcomed proactive action by state government and he said one should look beyond Hindi films and even multilingual films can be me here. 'After all Bhojpuri films are alrey me here,'' he pointed out.     

Veteran actor Anupam Kher said proposed Film City should have and will have a global recognition. He put emphasis on training part and asked to evolve some training logistics.

Lyricist Maj Muntasir welcomed UP government for taking Hindi film industry to Hindi speaking belt. local ethos and mosaic culture will get a furr boost if film institute and music acemy are also built in UP, he said.  

Saundarya, film maker from Tamil industry, said that animation, digital techlogy and or facilities are needed for hour and which are alrey proposed in Film City of UP.

Well kwn singers Udit Narayan, Kailash Kher and Anup Jalota were all praise for Uttar Presh government and Chief Minister to carry out such an onerous task in such a short time.  

 Among ors who were present during occasion included Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC), Alok Tandon, ditional Chief Secretary, Information and Home, Awanish Kumar Awasthi, ditional Chief Secretary to CM, S P Goyal, Director of Information ,Shishir, among  or senior officers.
