CM Yogi: Freedom from plastic is next mission of Swacch Bharat
UP CM Yogi Adityanath on October 1 said the goal of freeing India from single-use plastic & conserving the environment would be like realising Gandhi's dream.

Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath on October 1 said goals of freeing India from single-use plastic and conserving environment would be like realising Mahatma Gandhi's dream and could form next part of Swachh Bharat Mission. He said that pottery and or products should be used as substitutes for plastic so that environment can be protected, an official release said. During a programme organized on eve of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Awh Shilp Gram, he said entire nation will remember Gandhi on Tuesday and also pay hom to second Prime Minister Lal Bahur Shastri.

Gandhi's vision of cleanliness
He said those who contributed towards implementation of schemes to realise Gandhi's vision of cleanliness, sweshi swavalamban and gram swaraj under guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be houred by state goverr. chief minister said that Gandhiji h laid special emphasis on cleanliness and said "I am thankful to Prime Minister, who started cleanliness campaign in 2014 and gave it form of a mass movement and also gave a toilet to every poor family. I am happy that this year state is receiving first prize for taking campaign to greater heights."

Earlier, ityanath and Goverr Anandiben Patel released a book based on Gandhi's life philosophy and also visited exhibition 'Mohan se to Mahatma Tak'.
