Congress' Alka Lamba mocks Rafale 'Shastra Puja' by Rajnath Singh

Congrees leader Alka Lamba took to Twitter to mock the 'Shastra Puja' performed by Rajnath Singh on the new Rafale aircraft. She also questioned Rajnath's act

Congrees leer Alka Lamba mocked 'Shastra Puja' performed by Rajnath Singh on new Rafale aircraft as he emblazoned it with an 'Om' tilak and laid flowers and coconut, just before he was to take off in it for a sortie. On Tuesday, October 8, Alka Lamba took to Twitter and said, "Think w, France me Rafale has t even reached India and  first major success is achieved  by squashing two green lemons and saved India from eyes of evil." 

Questioned Defence Minister's act

Alka Lamba also tried to give a religious spin to Rafale deal in ar tweet. She tweeted, "Today if former Defense Minister A.K Antony would have been Minister of Defense, or former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam h got this fortune today, would he have taken Bible and Quran in his hands and would have done same according to his religion, which Defense Minister has done according to his religion? What would have happened?"

Congress politicises Rafale

Or Congress leer Sandeep Dikshit also politicised India receiving its first Rafale aircraft. Dikshit complained about  Shastra Puja that Rajnath Singh h performed, and said that  whole religious context of Vijayashmi and Rafale aircraft doesn't match. "It is a festival that all of us celebrate. Why do we have to link it with coming of an aircraft?", said Dikshit.

India received it's first-ever Rafale 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh received India's first Rafale combat aircraft, out of 36 fighter jets ordered as part of deal between India and France, on behalf of IAF on Tuesday. Rajnath Singh travelled from Paris to Mérignac, and speaking from Merignac Air Base, he said, "Today is truly a historic day for Indian forces and this ceremony shows depth of  strategic partnership in  relations of India and France."
