Amid 21-day lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak in country, RJD leer Tej Pratap Yav, in a bid to help stranded people from Bihar, wrote to BJP leer Tajinder Pal Bagga, requesting him to arrange ration for m. Yav took to Twitter to share a list of people stranded in national capital and requested Bagga, BJP chief Maj Tiwari to help m by providing m food and shelter. Bagga soon responded saying that it has been done, gaining Yav's praise.

As lockdown began in country, migrant workers, especially from Bihar, UP and West Bengal, in absence of transport facilities, started a home-bound walk. This despite Government of India and state government's numerous vice to avoid travel and stay put at current location. On March 29, after UP and Delhi governments arranged buses to send m home, large crowd gared at Delhi's Anand Vihar Bus terminal to board buses, raising risk of COVID 19 spre.

Bihar CM against migrant workers movement from one place to ar
Amidst decision of Uttar Presh and Delhi governments to send migrant labourers to ir native place on special buses, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has opposed move citing threat of coronavirus' spre.
Speaking to Republic TV, Kumar said, " buses should be allowed to carry any passenger from any state, else COVID-19 will spre and it will be a complete violation of lockdown. People should remain where y are and respective state governments should make arrangements for ir stay and food. Else people will congregate in large numbers to get back to ir native place and create a law and order situation."

JDU chief also said that he has spoken with many of his counterparts in or states and suggested building of camps locally to house se migrant workers inste of sending m back. " (Bihar) state government will reimburse costs of se camps. This is a period of crisis and idea behind lockdown is to break chain of virus from spreing furr."

On March 26, CM Nitish Kumar anunced that his government will coordinate with or states and bear expenses of migrant workers, who might have been stranded re owing to three-week-long nationwide lockdown. CM Kumar me anuncement at a high-level meeting he chaired here to review situation arising out of outbreak of disease. He also said that a sum of Rs 100 crore has been released from Chief Minister's Relief Fund which would be utilized by disaster manment department for setting up shelters for rickshaw pullers and daily-w earners who might be living away from ir homes.
