Hathras victim's autopsy report cites trauma to neck as cause of death; rape not mentioned

In a breaking development in Hathras rape case, victim's autopsy report has just been released. Post Mortem report states cause of death of victim as trauma due to a neck injury, however, re was mention of rape in report. 19-year-old victim died in Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday. She was brought to hospital on Monday from Aligarh Muslim University Medical College.
An official h earlier said that last rites were performed at victim's native place in wee hours of Wednesday. All four accused involved in incident have been arrested. As news of 19-year-old's death spre, protests broke out in Delhi as well as in Hathras with all sections of society, including politicians, sports and cine stars and activists, expressing ir anguish and demanding justice for her.

Also, UP Police is facing criticism after victim's family alleged that last rites of victim were conducted without consent of family. However, in clarification, Uttar Presh G Prashant Kumar stated that funeral was conducted with consent of family.

Yogi ityanath assures justice
Uttar Presh government has formed a three-member SIT to probe case and said matter will be heard in fast track court. Furr, Yogi ityanath has also spoken to Prime Minister on case. "PM Modi has said that strict action must be taken against culprits," Yogi ityanath said in a tweet.

three-member team comprising of state Home Secretary Bhagwan Swarup will also comprise members from Dalit community along with women members.
Also, far of Hathras gangrape victim on Wednesday said that Uttar Presh Chief Minister Yogi ityanath has assured family that y will get justice. Uttar Presh government on Wednesday anunced that kin of Hathras gangrape victim will be given Rs 25 lakh as ex-gratia and a house, and a government job will be given to a member of family.
