Morab police on Friday identified more than 40 people involved in attack of seven people including a doctor, health workers and policemen at Nawabpura locality in Morab district, who were trying to quarantine family members of a patient who died of COVID-19. police identified culprits with help of CCTV foot, photographs and videos of incident just a day after incident.

Teams formed to arrest people, says ASP

A total of seven people were attacked by mob which included a doctor, three medical workers and three policemen. Terming attack as inhuman crime Chief Minister Yogi ityanath assured strict action against culprits and National Security Act has been invoked against accused. mob also damd ambulance by pelting stones on it.

Meanwhile, police have arrested three people in Firozab for allegedly abusing and trying to attack a team of municipal corporation which was sanitising a locality under Linepar police station. ditional SP (City) Prabal Pratap Singh informed that when team was sanitising an area, a few drops of liquid splashed on a person’s clos. He got three or members of his family and started abusing officials and tried to attack team. team members around six people overpowered family members and sought help from local police. Singh said three h been arrested, while one person was absconding. An FIR has been lodged in connection with incident with relevant IPC sections.
