The Supreme Court will take up the Babri Masjid case on January 4, 2019. On fourth of January, the court will decide the bench which will hear the case.

Supreme Court on October h journed matter and ordered it to be listed in first week of January for fixing a date for hearing.

three-judge bench heed by CJI Ranjan Gogoi has decided matter will be taken up in first week of 2019, and it will n prounce when hearing on case will begin. Despite Centre's plea to take up case after Diwali break, apex court stated that urgent date can be given as of w due to or priorities.

It may come as a setback to those who were hoping for construction of Ram temple to start before 2019. Ever since SC, n heed by CJI Dipak Misra, prounced in September that matter would t be referred to a larger bench, a number of individuals and groups upped ante to build Ram Mandir on Ram Janmabhoomi.
