In a major development in Unnao double murder, Uttar Presh police, on Friday, arrested two boys - Vinay Kumar and Raju (name changed) in connection to deaths of two Dalit girls by poisoning. Detailing crime, police said that accused Vinay h confessed to giving water mixed with pesticide to one of girls - who h allegedly romantically spurned him. two boys (one a juvenile) h allegedly kwn one of victims who used to work at a farm close to accused's farm in Unnao along with her cousins.

Police reveal Unnao double murder details
During course of investigation, accused Vinay and Raju (name changed)- who hail from Babruha vill - have confessed to kwing girls who hailed from Amroha. Vinay allegedly h me romantic vances to one of victims, who h repeatedly turned him down. On being spurned, Vinay allegedly planned to kill her. Narrating crime, Vinay confessed that he h visited farm in Amroha where girls worked and offered one of victims water mixed with pesticide used on wheat crops. two or girls too drank same water and all fell unconscious, confessed Vinay, after which boys ran away.

2 Dalit girls' mysterious deaths
On Wednesday, three Dalit girls, d 16, 15 and 14, were found in field by villrs in a field in Uttar Presh's Unnao. While two were found de, third girl was found in a critical condition. villrs informed police and rushed girls to a hospital, where two of m were declared brought de while one was taken to Unnao hospital for treatment. Asoha Police Station has registered a case in this incident and filed an FIR under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (evidence tampering) against unkwn individuals.
According to police officials, initial investigations suggest girls died due to consumption of a poisous substance. Sources report that 4 youths hailing from nearby Baburoha vill, have been picked by police and are currently being probed. CM Yogi ityanath has directed that all medical expenses will be borne by state government and anunced ex-gratia Rs 5 lakh to victims' kin.

After conducting a post-mortem, doctors ruled poisoning as reason for ir deaths, ruling out sexual assault or strangling. report states that marks were found on ir hands, r any external or internal injuries were found on ir bodies. probing doctor has revealed that victims h consumed food that contained 80-100 grams of poison, 6 hours prior to ir death. All Opposition parties have slammed Yogi government, while surviving victim's family has requested to shift her to Delhi AIIMS.
