Uttarakhand: DG instructs close watch ahead of Ayodhya verdict

The Director-General (Law&Order) of Uttarakhand has informed the 13 districts police forces to keep a close watch on 'undesirable elements' & 'sensitive places'

Ahe of Ayodhya case verdict, Director-General (Law&Order) of Uttarakhand on vember 8, has informed all 13 districts' police forces to keep a close watch on 'undesirable elements' and also on 'sensitive places.' y have also asked forces to maintain strict vigil in Dehrun, Haridwar, Udhamsinghnagar, and Nainital. Supreme Court is all set to deliver its much-awaited verdict in Ayodhya title suit case on Saturday at 10.30 am.

Section 144 imposed in UP & Jammu

Ahe of verdict, Section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) against unlawful assembly imposed across entire state of Uttar Presh. Similarly, Section 144 will be imposed in all districts of Jammu till furr orders on midnight of vember 9. All schools and colleges will be closed on day of verdict. Aligarh District Magistrate (DM), Chandra Bhushan Singh has anunced, "All mobile internet services to remain suspended from 12 AM (08.11.2019) to 12 AM (09.11.2019) in entire district."

Security tightened

security in Ayodhya has been beefed up. So far, 18,000 state police personnel, 3,000 state Rapid Action Force staff, and 4,000 Central troops have been deployed in Ayodhya to maintain law and order. Sources suggest that forces have been directed by Uttar Presh government to ensure that body is allowed to spre any communal mess, including political and religious leers within State. Uttar Presh Government ahe of verdict has declared that all schools, colleges, and training centres will be shut from vember 9 to vember 11.
