The western state of Gujarat avoided a hit from Cyclone Vayu, however, as per reports, the region is still said to be at risk for flash flooding on Tuesday.
The cyclone weakened into a depression and is said to weaken further into a tropical rainstorm as it moves across northwest India. Prior to this, Vayu took a sharp turn to the west, thus relieving Gujarat from a direct hit. The cyclone is said to produce showers and thunderstorms with parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, parts of northwestern Madhya Pradesh receiving rainfall.

Most locations are said to receive less than 25mm of rainfall, however, the hardest hit locations can pick up more than 100 mm of rainfall in less than 24 hours. The downpours are said to be a welcome sight for most locations, with the monsoon projected to be delayed well beyond its normal start date across northwest India
