HC seeks response for Delhi govt over plea for resumption of CM Corona Assistance Scheme

Delhi High Court has issued tice to Delhi government on a petition filed by an organisation for resuming  Chief Minister Corona Assistance Scheme which used to provide dry ration to underprivileged persons in Delhi.

A division bench heed by Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Subramonium Pras sought a response from Delhi government over petition seeking resumption of assistance scheme for underprivileged. petition has been filed by an organisation named Delhi Rozi Roti hikar Abhiyan. high court has listed matter for furr hearing on August 17.

plea also mentioned about widespre violation in implementation of  National Food Security Act and or food distribution schemes.

organisation in its petition also sought to continue kiosks and helpdesks to listen to grievances of people who are t yet registered under Public Distribution Scheme and to provide solutions to such people.  petition also mentioned about setting up hunger relief centres for people t having ration cards for meeting  basic hunger needs of people without ration card.

However, counsel appearing for Delhi government told High Court that despite closure of this scheme in May, government is giving ration to needy people.
