Congress leer Rahul Gandhi Sunday attacked BJP government in Uttar Presh over Hathras incident alleging action was taken against those responsible for death of a 19-year-old Dalit woman who was allegedly gang-raped and brutalised.

Gandhi was leing a tractor rally in Punjab against three recently cleared farm legislations, where he launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and questioned need for bringing in new laws at time of coronavirus pandemic.

“I was in UP yesterday. A daughter of India was killed re and action was taken against those responsible for her death. And family of victim was confined to ir house,” said Gandhi while dressing a public garing at Bni Kalan here.

“ (Hathras) District Magistrate threatened m and (UP) Chief Minister also did so. This is situation in India,” he alleged.

Gandhi claimed that while action is being taken against culprits, victims are being targeted. Opposition has been attacking BJP government in Uttar Presh over alleged gang-rape and death of 19-year-old woman in Hathras.
