As the national capital continues to reel under 'hazardous' pollution levels, former cricketer and BJP leader Gautam Gambhir lashed out at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for inactivity towards the same. The air quality in the national capital turned 'hazardous' on Friday with the AQI ranging between 690 to 411. Anand Vihar was the most polluted area with PM 10 level at 690 at around 7 am. Taking to Twitter, Gambhir slammed Kejriwal and questioned his contribution towards curbing pollution. He also listed the promises that the Kejriwal-led government failed to deliver.

Gambhir's comment on match practice with mask

Gautam Gambhir on Thursday said the sight of Bangladeshi players practicing with the mask was the worst possible advertisement for cricket in the national capital.

"Its really sad that despite knowing it beforehand, DDCA & Delhi government had done very little to improve the condition of play. There should not be any international match in Delhi during this period. How can you play a match like this? There should be alternate venues. Two years back also Sri Lankan players played a Test match wearing masks against India in Delhi in November. Again now we see Bangladeshi players wearing a mask while practicing. This is really worst possible advertisement for cricket in Delhi if not the country," Gautam Gambhir said in an exclusive interview with Republic TV.
